What should I expect at the sitting?
The portrait sitting is approximately 15-20 minutes. The photographer discusses each pose with the graduate and your son/daughter chooses 12-20 poses. A Portrait Sample Card with 8 Poses is provided to the graduate with a gallery code to view the full sitting. What should I wear? Girls: Wear something with short sleeves, no collar and a low neck line that won't show underneath the gown. Save the Big Hairdo for the Grad Day! Many retakes are due to "I didn't like my hair". Your natural look is always the best bet. Also, don’t wear glitter on face or eyes! Guys: Wear a shirt and tie. Be freshly shaven. Stubble cannot be removed. We supply caps and gowns. What is the sitting Fee? A fee of $30.00 is payable at the portrait sitting. What is my pose number and Online Gallery Code? Your pose number and Online Gallery Code can be found on your Portrait Sample Card printed off by the photographer at the time of your session. When will my portraits be online? Your images will have basic retouching applied and be uploaded to your online portrait gallery approximately 7-10 business days after your sitting appointment. Can I change my background when I order? Portraits that have been photographed using our Virtual Background Program allow background changes. Click on the different backgrounds in your portrait gallery to see all these portraits. Portraits that have been photographed on the traditional studio background cannot be changed. Be sure to let your photographer know if you would like a certain background at the time of your photo session. Can I mix poses on one sheet? No, each sheet may consist of only one pose. What is the retake policy? With the ability for the graduate to choose their own proofs at their session, the need for retakes is very rare. However, should you wish to have your photos retaken simply book another sitting and bring your pose sheet with you to show your photographer what you would like photographed differently. If you feel you need more than 12 poses to order from you may book a second sitting at a $30 charge, however, only one deposit may be deducted upon ordering. |
What is the difference between basic and custom retouching?
Basic retouching: minimal glass glare reduction, facial blemishes, softening fine lines, skin discoloration and subtly whitening teeth. Basic retouching has been applied to all the images in your online gallery. Custom retouching: For an additional $20.00 per pose we can provide more extensive retouching (removal of fly away hair, piercings, tattoos, facial wrinkles, under eye circles). Please contact us prior to submitting your order to see if the custom retouching you require is possible. Specify your custom retouching requirements (with pose number) in the NOTES section of the payment screen NOTE: All graduate galleries 2016 and prior will have either auto retouching or custom retouching to be applied. Images in these galleries have NOT been retouched. How will my portraits be cropped? Portraits in the online viewing screen are cropped to an 8x10 ratio. When selecting your poses for packages or sheets, the poses that you choose will be cropped exactly as they are shown in the selection screen. As you click on each sheet option, the select image area will change to the crop ratio for that sheet. For a complete view of how your portraits will be cropped, please scroll through the Cart Summary. Finished portraits will be shipped to you EXACTLY as they appear in this screen. Our production department does not alter cropping, center images, add head room etc. If the pose you have chosen has an artistic crop (ie: part of head cut off, pictured on an angle) you will receive the finished portrait as is. If you have specific cropping requirements, detail the pose number and instructions in the NOTES section of the payment screen How long will it take for my order to be completed? You can expect your finished portraits within 4-6 weeks from the date that we receive your online order on our PCI compliant secure online ordering system. Some specialty items or custom work, such as the Gallery Wrapped Canvas, may need additional time to be completed. Can I pick up my portrait order? No, portraits are packaged and shipped directly from our lab to the address supplied at the time of ordering. How long will my portraits be available to order? Your portraits will be available to purchase online for 1 year (eg: if you graduate in June 2016, your portraits are available until June 2017) and then they are archived for 5 years from your graduation date. NOTE: Archive fees apply to all orders after the 1 year period |

Satisfaction Guaranteed. We will retake or accept your returned prints for a full refund. All undeliverable packages that are returned to will be subject to a $12.00 shipping fee.
